da blaze casino: Charlton Athletic have been dealt an injury blow ahead of their match against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday, as reported by News Shopper.
What’s the story?
da bet7k: There had been hope that Jonny Williams and Sam Field would be available for the clash at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.
However, that now seems highly unlikely, following the injury update that Lee Bowyer gave ahead of the game.
The Addicks manager was quoted by News Shopper as saying: “Doesn’t look too good. Jonny was meant to be back, he’d been training with us last week, he had an air shot and missed the ball and his hamstring got tight. He’s got a grade one tear so he’s out for two weeks.
“Sam Field was supposed to be back with us last Wednesday, he’s been doing his training with West Brom on Monday and Tuesday, on Tuesday his foot got stuck in the ground and re-twisted his knee.
“He was meant to come back on Wednesday. All the work had gone well, preparation, strengthening, but you just can’t help someone’s foot getting stuck in the ground, he’s going for another scan today and we’ll know more tomorrow. It’s disappointing he won’t be with us this weekend.”
Summarising their luck
It is not only the fact that the two players are injured that offers an indication of Charlton’s luck regarding injuries this campaign, but also the nature of how they were sustained.
To have both of these returning players suffer setbacks in such a short period of time, from making an air shot and getting their foot stuck in the ground is almost comedic, yet it managed to happen to Bowyer’s men.
This is a definite blow ahead of the game, as Williams’ creativity would have been of use. This term he has registered five assists from 12 appearances before getting injured.

Field could also have been a good presence to have in midfield, as he has averaged 1.8 tackles, 1.4 interceptions and 1.2 clearances this season while maintaining a pass success rate of 82.8%.
This is truly rotten luck for Bowyer and Charlton, something that will be considered a blow ahead of the match.
In other news, one Charlton defender could be integral in the team getting a result on Saturday.
