da pinup bet: [ad_pod ]Is allowing Alexis Sanchez to leave Manchester United really a smart move? While on paper Sanchez represents possibly one of the worst transfers in the history of modern football, costing United more than £6m to sit on the bench alone, which he tended to do a fair bit, we have to remember that there was, and still is, a serious player hidden away somewhere. After all, this is the man who had 125 direct goal contributions in 166 appearances at former club Arsenal (80 goals and 45 assists). One simply doesn’t just lose all that overnight – this isn’t Space Jam, and the Monstars haven’t stolen his talent.Watch Manchester United Live Streams With StreamFootball.tv Below
It begs the question: why has the project been cut so short?
United are currently reliant on Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Daniel James, and Jesse Lingard to drag them forwards in the offensive department. That’s one unfinished product, one mightily inconsistent player, one inexperienced talent, and one sad excuse of a footballer whose most productive season in the Premier League returned eight goals and six assists.
To put things into perspective, Sanchez’s worst term at Arsenal saw him collect seven goals and three assists in 19 appearances. The 30-year-old then proceeded to make up the deficit at Manchester United following his January transfer. Bear in mind how poor he’s been in Manchester. Yikes.
Those at talkSPORT Drive have discussed their thoughts on the Sanchez saga, and it’s fair to say that host Adrian Durham believes Solskjaer has made a glaring blunder…
