da imperador bet: [ad_pod ]
da supremo: It wouldn’t be a transfer window without West Ham having some form of drama surrounding them, and this year striker Marko Arnautovic is the player that is stirring things up in east London.
The Austrian striker was at the centre of a transfer saga last January that almost saw the attacker leave West Ham for the Chinese Super League, and this summer has seen Gianluca Di Marzio link Arnautovic with a move to Inter Milan.
With two seasons of representing the claret and blue behind him, what players in the current West Ham squad will miss Arnautovic the most based on goal contributions? Football FanCast takes a look at the players the front-man has linked up with most during his time in east London.
Manuel Lanzini – 6 goal contributions
If injury hadn’t disrupted Manuel Lanzini’s playing time over the past two seasons, the number of joint goal participations between the Argentine and Arnautovic would no doubt be higher, but that doesn’t mean things between the two have been stale.
The duo have formed a surprisingly good relationship since Arnautovic’s move from Stoke, linking up against the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Everton in the 2017/18 season alone. With Lanzini back to full fitness heading into the new campaign, losing his Austrian teammate would be a blow for the playmaker.
Mark Noble – 3 goal contributions
Mark Noble has been part of the West Ham furniture for what seems like an eternity, and last season saw the Hammers captain form a decent connection with Arnautovic.
The duo combined in the Irons’ 3-1 win over Manchester United as well as in their 3-0 triumph over Southampton, and after finding form this season it will be a shame for the West Ham captain to lose a striker whose game he has seemingly figured out.

Michail Antonio – 3 goal contributions
Michail Antonio’s versatility has made him a useful player for West Ham over the years, and for Arnautovic, the winger has proven to be a reliable teammate in their two seasons together.
The duo linked up against London rivals Tottenham at the tail-end of last season, with Antonio’s goal condemning Mauricio Pochettino’s side to their first defeat in their new home stadium.
Javier Hernandez – 3 goal contributions
As you can see from the numbers, Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez haven’t exactly flourished as a strike partnership. The duo have played together for two seasons now, yet only directly combined for three goals.
However, they do suit each other. Arnautovic is powerful, bullish and has an excellent passing range; Hernandez stands on the shoulder of defenders and tries to find poacher opportunities. If the two part company this summer, especially amid an age in which front twos are no longer in fashion, it’s unlikely Hernandez will end up with a better partner on paper next season.
