da pinnacle: Versatile defender Liam Ridgewell has dismissed talk of him handing in a transfer request, insisting that he would like to sign a new contract with Birmingham City.
da apostaganha: The 25-year-old former Aston Villa stopper has made more than 100 appearances for the Blues since his arrival in the summer of 2007 and Ridgewell is hoping to remain with City for some time to come.
He told the Birmingham Mail:"I don't want to leave Birmingham, of course not. We've had a good season, we're doing well and I'm enjoying it here.
"I've left the new contract down to my agent. It's easier for me to concentrate on my game, the football, and let the contract take care of itself.
"Hopefully we can come to some sort of agreement and we can get it signed.
"I want to sign and presumably the club want to keep me here as well. I'd love it to be done as quickly and as easily as possible."Subscribe to Football FanCast News Headlines by Email
