Former England forward Darren Bent has claimed that Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba would get in Liverpool’s first XI.
Indeed, speaking on talkSPORT, as quoted by The Daily Mail, Bent insisted that the France international is good enough to represent the reigning European champions.
However, it would be fair to say that not too many of the Merseyside club’s supporters agree.
Call yourself a Liverpool expert? How much did each of these big-money January signings cost?
One Liverpool fan claimed that he would take Pogba but only to turn out for the club’s Under-23 side.
Meanwhile, another said that while Pogba as a footballer would more than likely make it into Liverpool side, the 2018 World Cup winner’s “mentality” means that he would not feature for Jurgen Klopp’s team.
The 26-year-old, who is currently recovering from ankle surgery, has been restricted to just eight appearances for the 20-time English champions this season.
Pogba continues to be linked with a move away from Old Trafford, and it has been reported that United have taken £30m off their asking price for the midfielder in anticipation of a summer exit.
Meanwhile, a number of Liverpool fans have been reacting to an exit report surrounding one of their star players.
