In midweek, Holgate put in Man of the Match display against Watford where he kept a clean sheet and scored the opening goal. As a result, the centre-back seems to have sparked a recent cry amongst Everton fans for him to start once again this weekend.
A lot of supporters are asking for Michael Keane to be dropped, should both Holgate and Yerry Mina be available. Keane has been in questionable form all season and, with Everton sitting two points above the drop zone, it’s no surprise that there are murmurs of discontent regarding his form.
