Tosun scored 41 times in 96 league appearances for Besiktas, and their current leading goalscorer is former Liverpool man Ryan Babel with four goals.
Their six senior strikers have combined for just two goals, so it’s perhaps no surprise that they want Tosun back.
Everton meanwhile are getting plenty of goals from other areas of the pitch, but you still get the feeling the Toffees need a centre forward that can bag 15 league goals per season.
Despite the striker’s poor form, it would certainly be a surprise if Everton sold him in January considering the lack of other striker options at Goodison.
