da casino： Reports from A Bola (via Sport Witness) claim that up to 35 different clubs were in attendance over in Lisbon as Benfica beat Lyon 2-1, and the report claims that both the English and Portuguese media believe he is a target for the champions.
It is not reported who City were tracking, but it seems there is only one man the fans want to see at the Etihad. Dias has been subject of heavy transfer speculation for a while, with Manchester United one of the many names mentioned to be interested in the defender, as reported by Record (via The Mirror).
As for City supporters, no doubt they will be hopeful of a January signing at the back after Aymeric Laporte’s injury ruled him out for at least six months. Since his injury, Fernandinho and Rodri have stepped into central defence, whilst Nicolas Otamendi and John Stones are now available again after playing in the week.
Fans are hopeful that they can prize Dias away in the winter window to help them patch things up at the back and overtake Liverpool at the top of the table.
