da betway: Southampton fans have taken to Twitter to ridicule Mark Lawrenson for his comments about Danny Rohl’s departure from St Mary’s back in the summer.
da prosport bet: Rohl – who was Ralph Hasenhuttl’s No.2 at Southampton – left to team up with Niko Kovac at German giants Bayern Munich in August.
Lawrenson revealed in his Premier League predictions for the BBC that he did not know that Rohl had left, and then proceeded to deliver a fairly vague assessment of how the German’s exit may or may not have played a part in the Saints’ dismal form so far this term.
“I did not know Ralph Hasenhuttl’s assistant, Danny Rohl, had left for a role with Bayern Munich over the summer.
“It might be a coincidence that Saints’ form has dropped away so badly since he left – but it might not be.”
Southampton have conceded the most goals in the Premier League this season, and have scored the third-least as well – their last league outing saw them lose 9-0 to Leicester and has them languishing in 18th.
One fan called Lawrenson a “dinosaur” after reading his comments, whereas another supporter said that the BBC pundit’s analysis is “muppetry at it’s finest”. No offence, Kermit.
Let’s take a look at some more tweets from the dumbfounded Southampton fans on Twitter…
