da jogodeouro: According to West Ham Fan Zone (via reliable club insider, ExWHUemployee), Reece Oxford has parted company with his agent; it will, however, make no difference to his position under Manuel Pellegrini, who will look to sell him this month.
The youngster broke onto the scene in 2014 as a 16-year-old when Slaven Bilic was at the helm and, as he became the youngest-ever player to play for the first team, impressed with his versatility and maturity on the pitch beyond his years.
Oxford signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with the Hammers in 2016 after it was reported that the current Prem champions, Manchester City, were greatly interested in acquiring his signature.
However, the defensive midfielder, who can also operate as a centre-back, has endured a difficult couple of years since as he slides down the pecking order – the 20-year-old spent last season on loan with Borussia Monchengladbach to get some game-time.
With the arrivals of Jack Wilshere and Carlos Sanchez, as well as the emergence of Declan Rice, the Irons are seemingly keen to offload Oxford in the coming weeks.
However, West Ham fans on Twitter are pleading for Pellegrini to give Oxford a chance – you can find the best of the reaction below…
